We can open by appointment for groups of 8 or more (except Saturdays).

Please get in touch to book in advance if you do have a group of 8 or more.

Please also check for any special closures before travelling! Very occasionally we will be holding events at the garden and there may be planned closures.

Season tickets are available for £7.50 which include a code for 10% off at (terms and conditions apply).


There is room to park on the grass verge opposite the garden. Please park to the right of the gateway if possible. Please take care crossing the road.


Our tea room open 1pm – 4.30pm, serves cream teas, hot and cold drinks and cakes. We serve organic coffee from Westcountry roasters Owens, Fair Trade tea, and often have dairy-free and gluten-free cakes available.

Please note the tea room may not always be open at the beginning or the end of the season, or there may be limited provisions.

There is a toilet available for customers.

Plant sales

Plants from the garden are available for sale.

The Flower Bulb Company also sells flower bulbs, tools and gifts. Summer flowering bulbs will be available from March – May and spring-flowering bulbs from September – December. The full catalogue is available on the website and there will be some bagged bulbs available to buy at the garden.

Well behaved dogs are very welcome in the garden on short leads. No extendable leads please, the garden isn’t big enough! There will be drinking water available, if not, please just ask.

Disabled access

Disabled access is restricted in the garden due to a couple of steps and narrow paths. The paths are gravel and bark chippings. The toilet is accessed via a small step. At the beginning and the end of the season the paths and ground may be very soft and wheelchair access will not be possible.
